Asmara

ASMARA CAMMOK / ARTIST

Asmara is from South East London and began dancing at age 7 at Scott Wiseman School of dance. Her training includes The Brit School for Performing Arts and Technology and 4 years professional training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

 

Asmara’s credits include Tavaziva Dance, ACE Dance And Music, Phoenix Dance Theatre: Windrush ‘The Movement of The People’, The 1975, The BBC, Hyundai, London Fashion Week, Starbucks, Wizkid, Ellie Goulding and more.

 

Asmara has a keen interests in dance as a tool for trauma therapy and political activism and so is ecstatic to be joining the company for Shades of Blue.

LOUIS PATRIDGE / ARTIST

Louis had a passion for dance at a young age, but began formal training through London Studio Centre in their associates programme, he then continued his studies at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, having worked with choreographers such as Gary Clarke, Lea Anderson, and Patricia Okenwa. He graduated in 2020 and went on to work as an apprentice for the Staatstheater Mainz's company Tanzmainz. Louis is also now working with Akram Khan Company in their production 'Outwitting the Devil' which is currently touring internationally.

HARRISON CLAXTON / ARTIST

Harrison received his degree from London Contemporary dance school also winning the Duke of York award whilst training. His practice involves various types of performance art such as Acrobatics, Circus, Krump/Breakdancing and Contemporary dance.

 

 As well as working with Matsena Productions Harrison has recently worked with choreographers/companies such as Alexander Vantournhout, Trisha Beatrix Simkó, The Wee dance company, KMDT, Leila Mcmillan, Saju Hari and Theo Adams company performing with people such as Sir Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Paloma Faith and others.

CHER NICOLETTE-HO / ARTIST

Cher is a Singaporean, London-based performance artist, educator and graduate of London Contemporary Dance School (2018) Cher has worked closely with Matsena Productions since 2017; recent works include: ‘Geometry of fear’ 2020 and ‘Shades of Blue’ on BBC Dancing Nation 2021. 

Cher has also worked alongside collectives; Just Us Dance Theatre, Corey Baker Dance, Zoonation: The Kate Prince Company, Flexer Sandiland, Avant Garde and on film with Take3 Agency for Netflix and Marvel studios. Apart from performance, she works with theatre company, Ellandar Productions as assistant producer and is a freelance film editor for artists looking to share their artistic processes.

AMÉLIE OLIVIER / ARTIST

Amélie is a french freelance dancer, trained in Rosella Hightower National Dance School in Cannes and National Dance School of Marseille. She has worked with RIFT Collective in their performances of "PAKING" and also dancing with Fabula Collective in London for the "Ley Line" program in "Salt to Water" choreographed by Travis C. Knight.

She has been an apprentice in Ballet Preljocaj and Ballet de Lorraine in France and has been part of the dance film "VIRUS" for Tanzahoï Film Festival in Hamburg.

JULIA COSTA / ARTIST

Originally from Gibraltar, Julia Costa is a London-based multidisciplinary dancer and artist. She trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and has subsequently worked across the industry, from TV and Film to live performances. Since graduating Julia has worked with choreographers such as Holly Blakey, Ceila Rowlson-Hall and Alexandra Green for film and music videos. In 2019-2020 she featured in Sky Atlantic’s Brave New World, Amazon’s Birds of Paradise and Coldplay’s Cry Cry Cry single.  During her Degree she performed repertoire from Atoms by Company Wayne McGregor assisted by Caterina Carvalho and toured Gary Lamberts piece Nothing and Being around the UK. Alongside this, Julia created and performed her own work at Resolution Festival 2020 and began collaborating with artists and companies such as Matsena Productions, Travis Knight and Owen RD.

SELINA JONES / ARTIST

Selina Jones studied at and graduated from LAMDA in August 2020. She has always loved performing - before being an actress, she actually wanted to be a gymnast!

In addition to working with Matsena, you can find her in Raised by Wolves S2 on HBOMax and Sky Atlantic, in short films such as Nadia’s Gift, Medea and at The Yard Theatre in An Unfinished Man. Selina also writes and won the Evening Standard Future Theatre Award for her short film ‘Grief Day’. Headshot by Severine Howell Meri

Keziah Campbell-Golding

KEZIAH CAMPBELL-GOLDING / ARTIST

Keziah trained at the Brit School of Performing Arts and Technology followed by a year with The Andrew Lloyd Webber Bridge Company.

 

Her professional credits include: We Love Moses  (Dir - Dionne Edwards, BFI Short/Netflix); Fly The Flag  (Chor - Oona Doherty); Les Miserables (Chor -Joseph Toonga).

 

Last year, Keziah toured Speak Volumes with National Youth Dance Company under choreographer, Alesandra Seutin and is a current member of the National Youth Theatre.
